Cornices & Valances

6'' and 9'' Valances

6" and 9" valances are simple yet sophisticated. The 6" valance is standard on Natural Shades with standard cord controls. The 9" valance is standard on shades with continuous loop controls, and optional on shades with standard cord control. The 9" valance is recommended on longer shades, to conceal the shade stacking when raised.

Deco-Finish Valance

Choose from a variety of valance designs: Seascape, Dentil, Cathedral and Horizon. This 9" valance is cut approximately 2" deep. Your choice of gimp trim is applied to conceal the design cut on the front and the back.

Valance Only

Use this option when you don't want to cover the entire window, but still want a decorative accent at the top.

Noble Cornice

The stately design of the Noble Wood Cornice is available in a 5 1/2" and 7 1/2" size, and in both stained and painted finishes. It lends an impressive appearance to larger windows.

Regal Cornice

The magnificent Regal Wood Cornice is available in a 5 1/2" and 7 1/2" size, and in both stained and painted finishes. It will crown your blinds or shades with style and sophistication.

4" Curved Wood Valance

Gently curved contours bring a fresh look to either casual or elegant décors.

4" Classic Wood Valance

The simple profile is perfect for any décor style.

Looped Roman Shade

The Tradewinds' Looped Roman Shade features elegant, soft folds of fabric.

Standard Roman Shade

The Tradewinds Standard Roman Shade features classic flat panels with a valance.

Old Style Roman Shade

The Tradewinds Old Style Roman Shade features classic flat panels without a valance.

Fabric Edge Banding

1" or 2" fabric edge banding along the left, right and bottom hem creates a frame effect for the shade and the valance.

Gimp Trim

Gimp is a perfect way to personalize your decorative valance or hem. A color-coordinated gimp not only looks good; it helps seal the cut pattern of many decorative options.

Bead Trim

Embellish your Graber Tradewinds Natural Shades by choosing from a stunning collection of wood beads, teardrop crystal beads and round crystal beads. This trim will be applied to the back of the valance or hem, and covered by gimp.

Braid Fringe

This trim will be applied to the front of the valance or hem.

Deco-Pocket Hem

Consider a look you'll only get from Graber. Natural Shades dressed in Deco-Pocket Hems with accent rods are distinctive additions to any window. Hem designs are cut into the hem of the shade, so if complete privacy and light filtering are desired, add 4 ½" to the ordered height. (This feature is available only on Dentil and Cathedral designs.)

Deco-Finish Hem

Accent your Graber Shades by adding a decorative hem. Our stylish hem designs - Seascape, Dentil, Cathedral and Horizon - are cut into the hem of the shade. If complete privacy and light filtering are desired, add 2 ½" to the ordered height.

A decorative wood hem bar adds a sleek finishing touch. It's available in five popular finishes that coordinate with our wood valances and cornices.

Increased Privacy & Light Control

Privacy and Blackout Liners

Preserve your solitude with a Privacy Liner. It's available in four colors - White, Tan, Cocoa and Black Coffee - to blend with the shade's natural color. For a neutral look facing the outside of your windows, choose a White Privacy Liner. To block light completely, add a Blackout Liner to your shade. Available in three colors (Tan, Cocoa and Black Coffee), a Blackout Liner is colored on the side facing your shade, and white on the side facing the outside.

Operating Systems & Controls

Standard Cord Lift System

The color-coordinated standard cord includes a cordlock, which holds the cord securely in place at any position.

Bottom Up/Top Down Corded

The Bottom Up/Top Down option allows you to lower the shades from the top or raise them from the bottom. This allows you to maintain privacy or screen an unwanted view while letting natural light come in.

Continuous Loop Lift System

The Continuous Loop Lift System makes it easy to raise large shades while maintaining a constant cord length.

Wide Windows & Specialty Shapes

Cut - Outs

Have your blinds or shades specially made to fit around architectural features, or to accommodate air conditioners, heat registers, window cranks or tiles.

Bay or Corner Windows

Specify mitered corners to butt two shades together in a corner or bay window.

Angle Top

An Angle Top Shade lifts to an intermediate rail, but the angle portions do not raise.

Multiple Shades or Blinds on One Headrail

Two or three independently operable shades or blinds can be installed on a single headrail to provide a cleaner appearance. This is ideal for large windows or patio doors.
